A Dark Gruesome Visual for J. Cole's "Power Trip"

The Roc Nation MC, J. Cole released his single "Power Trip" ft. Miguel early this year, leaving us without any visuals to refer to but today MTV premiered "Power Trip" which will be featured on his sophomore album Born Sinner, due for June 25. Cole puts a whole new perspective on his love song as he commits murder in the grim visuals.

In the video, which was fairly dark and gloomy, J. Cole acts as a suspicious and envious man who in the video we see park in front of a house, which shows Miguel getting ready to go out. Then later in the video Cole and his friend drives towards the woods in his car with his friend with a trash bag on top of the car. A cop then stops them over, but he only checks the trunk which contained a shovel. They continue to drive towards the woods where we discover Cole has acted in a murderous crime and guess who is in the plastic bag?

The storyline was genius and interesting, but the video will probably have fans complaining about how they can't see. There was no lighting in this video which makes the viewers think "well, I wonder who the director is? And why would he/she capture the video in almost complete darkness?" Obviously director of the video chose to capture what happened after the dark, mysterious murder because usually when something tragic happens people "blackout" maybe that's why it had a dark visual?

Check out the video and see for yourself...well if you can see! http://www.mtv.com/videos/j-cole/897318/power-trip-ft-miguel.jhtml?xrs=share_twitter
