SMVSH BROS

I came across new talent this week from Winston Salem, North Carolina; a rapper group called "SMVSH BROS". Jamall aka Wonder and Drew aka Litez have been rapping since fifth grade, but one thing that is very unique about these two is that they don't use profanity in any of their songs. It's so rare in this generation to come across rappers that don't use profanity and have good music at the same time, but what these two young men are going is changing the game. It's difficult beeing rappers in the south because there is so much talent and also because almost everybody sounds the same, but the "SMVSH BROS" don't sound like everybody else.

Since they have such a unique sound and flavor, I think that they should take time and focus on their image. One thing they can do is switch up their fashion; may be  take Justin Timberlake's advice and be on that "Suit and Tie" sh**. I am not saying dress like church boys but maybe dress like Diddy in the 90's, suit and tie with gold chains and watches. And instead of wearing dress shoes, wear sneakers and black shades. It's all about the image; what rapper do you know wears suites 24/7? My point exactly! By dressing like this, they will come across looking classy, sophisticated, and Black Excellence. The "SMVSH BROS" can pull off this look if they have swag and confidence; that sexy sophisticated look sells. They will be even able to gain more respect from an older audience.

I think they should start with a photoshoot. They should be able to have a visual for their audience. They can use the pictures from the shoot for their new single and they can post it all over Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram, and any other social media website. After they make an image for themselves they should make a video, and wear similar clothing that's from the photoshoot in the video (try and stay consistent). Post the video on Tumblr and Youtube then post a link on Twitter. Maybe even do a little release party to gain exposure and perform at the release party. They can also perform at different colleges. A lot of colleges do talent shows and fashion shoes, since you guys dress amazing (suit and tie) people would love for them to perform. Another thing they can do is pick a day and do an outside performance and cause a crowd; that's how to gain exposure. Also do a lot of traveling; go to parties Charlotte, Greensboro, Fayetteville and have your team dress in suit and ties. That my cause negative and positive attention, either way people are still talking about you.

Another thing is neworking, talk to rappers and producers in the area you know of and see if there are any shows coming up.

All these ideas will work, but most importantly is having an image.
