Apparently visuals are important to Justin Timberlake, "The 20/20 Experence" review

Isn't Justin Timberlake one of the most smoothest yet "swagged" out White boy's of our time? JT came into the new year of 2013 with a plan, to take over, and it worked!

Justin Timberlake performed his new single "Suit and Tie" ft. Jay-Z earlier this year at the Grammys to pump up his fans and gain attention of his upcoming album, "The 20/20 Experience". Soon after that performance Justin announced his "Legends of Summer Tour" with Jay-Z that starts on July 17. These two are amazing businessmen so of course going on a tour together this summer is a great idea. Another great idea was Justin guest starring on Saturday Night Live a couple of weeks ago. He got to perform "Suit and Tie" with Jay-Z  and his latest new single "Mirrors". He has been on all over the media, and all over television promoting this album which came out March 19th.

"The 20/20 Experience" is a very composite album. This album is definitely one of, and probably is Justin Timberlake's best album he has produced along side Timbaland. "The 20/20 Experience" is about 57 minutes long; most of the tracks on the album are 7 minutes long. This album can appeal to a wide range audience because of the variety of genres, Pop, Soul, and R&B, that JT has displayed in his product of art.

Some songs on the album that has a unique sound are "Blue Ocean Floor", "Pusher Love Gir", and "Let The Groove Get In". Look out for tracks like "Tunnel Vision", that actually has echoes and voice overa of Timaland's voice in the track which gives a classic Timbaland feel in the album. "That Girl" actually sounds like an inspired Temptation track, just the vibe and the insturments in the song makes it feel like a Temptation track. Also "Let the Groove Get In" sounds like an inspired blend of all of Michael Jackson's up beat songs, it's just so groovy.

Justin concessions his love to his significant other all though this album and you can tell he is truly in love. We are all very happy for Mr. Timberlake and are truly glad that he shared all his feeling and emotions on this beautiful album.

Overall this album is epic and so worth buying even if you are not a Justin Timberlake fan because these songs are so relatable. "The 20/20 Experience" is now available on iTunes and in Target. Go get it!

Davon King, Hip Hop artist with an Old School Soul

Last week I encountered a young Hip Hop artist named Devonte Akein, but he goes by Davon King. He is an 19 years old Hip Hop artist and lyricist from South Hampton, New York that brings a new school flavor with an Old School soul. His music appeals to people who love true Hip Hop from back in the 80's and 90's. His flow is very vintage and old school, and so as his fashion. His fashion resembles a vintage New York street look, for example camo jackets, flight jackets, timberland boots, etc. This style certainly appeals to the up North scene rather than the South, but it works to his benefit because his rap flow is very Old School.

Davon King markets himself very well by designing t-shirts and passes out his cds around his neighborhood. He really has a lot of ambition and passion for what he does from the short time I talked to him. I think that maybe going more gigs and performing a colleges around the area will give him more of an name for himself in surrounding areas.

How do I know of Davon King? Well, he actually sent me a link of his new music through Twitter called "New York Times" produced by Eric Wagas. The song reminded me of Nas's old school flow with a little bit of Rock N' Roll. The song was really appealing to me because of it's Old school flavor and I think that's what we need more of in the Hip Hop industry.

You can also to his other music on his SoundCloud. Also follow him on Twitter @DavonKing_ for more information on his where abouts and up coming music.

Beyonce is Back & B**** Better Bow Dow!

Beyonce is back at it again, taking over planet Earth. She release a new single on Sunday, from her up and coming album, called "Bow Down" produced by Hit-Boy. Now if you don't know Hit-Boy, he is the one responsible for "N***as In Paris" by Kanye West and Jay-Z, "Clique" by Kanye West ft. Jay-Z and Big Sean, "Watch N' Learn" by Rihanna, and many hits. Beyonce and her team was very smart putting out this track before Beyonce's World Tour, The Mrs. Carter Tour, and before her album playlist was released.

On the other hand, Keyshia Cole took to Twitter earlier today basically saying Beyonce was coming for her in the record. Beyonce repeatedly sings "B**** Bow Dow!" in the song but doesn't mention no names to who she was refering to. Keyshia Cole may feel so offended because after she made a negative comment on Twitter about the Destiny's Child Super Bowl peformance, Kelly Rowland commented back saying her and the rest of DC are not worried about what anybody says. May be Ms. Cole is just jealous of all the fame Beyonce is getting this year?

Check out Beyonce's new song produced by Hit Boy, "Bow Down".

SMVSH BROS

I came across new talent this week from Winston Salem, North Carolina; a rapper group called "SMVSH BROS". Jamall aka Wonder and Drew aka Litez have been rapping since fifth grade, but one thing that is very unique about these two is that they don't use profanity in any of their songs. It's so rare in this generation to come across rappers that don't use profanity and have good music at the same time, but what these two young men are going is changing the game. It's difficult beeing rappers in the south because there is so much talent and also because almost everybody sounds the same, but the "SMVSH BROS" don't sound like everybody else.

Since they have such a unique sound and flavor, I think that they should take time and focus on their image. One thing they can do is switch up their fashion; may be  take Justin Timberlake's advice and be on that "Suit and Tie" sh**. I am not saying dress like church boys but maybe dress like Diddy in the 90's, suit and tie with gold chains and watches. And instead of wearing dress shoes, wear sneakers and black shades. It's all about the image; what rapper do you know wears suites 24/7? My point exactly! By dressing like this, they will come across looking classy, sophisticated, and Black Excellence. The "SMVSH BROS" can pull off this look if they have swag and confidence; that sexy sophisticated look sells. They will be even able to gain more respect from an older audience.

I think they should start with a photoshoot. They should be able to have a visual for their audience. They can use the pictures from the shoot for their new single and they can post it all over Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram, and any other social media website. After they make an image for themselves they should make a video, and wear similar clothing that's from the photoshoot in the video (try and stay consistent). Post the video on Tumblr and Youtube then post a link on Twitter. Maybe even do a little release party to gain exposure and perform at the release party. They can also perform at different colleges. A lot of colleges do talent shows and fashion shoes, since you guys dress amazing (suit and tie) people would love for them to perform. Another thing they can do is pick a day and do an outside performance and cause a crowd; that's how to gain exposure. Also do a lot of traveling; go to parties Charlotte, Greensboro, Fayetteville and have your team dress in suit and ties. That my cause negative and positive attention, either way people are still talking about you.

Another thing is neworking, talk to rappers and producers in the area you know of and see if there are any shows coming up.

All these ideas will work, but most importantly is having an image.

If you want to reach the "SMVSH BROS" you can follow them on Twitter at @Vintagedakiddo and @That_kidwonder. Also check out their song "Knockout" on Youtube http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=Q_zwUmDKba0&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DQ_zwUmDKba0
